Description   Ubiquitin璫onjugating Enzyme E2 B (UBE2B), known as Homolog of Rad6B (HR6B), is a member of the Ubiquitin璫onjugating (E2) enzyme family. It is ubiquitously expressed with a predicted molecular weight of 17 kDa. HR6B/UBE2B localizes to the nucleus and cytoplasm and has an E2 catalytic core domain that forms a thioester bond with Ubiquitin. UBE2B can conjugate ubiquitin to histone H2A in an E3- independent manner in vitro, and is essential for the multi-ubiquitination and degradation of N-end rule substrates. Additionally, UBE2B may have a role in sepsis-induced muscle protein proteolysis and cancer-induced cachexia. Recombinant Human UBE2B produced in E. coli cells is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain ontaining 152 amino acids. A fully biologically active molecule, rhUBE2B has a molecular mass of 17.3 kDa analyzed by reducing SDS-PAGE and is obtained by chromatographic techniques at Pepmic.
Molecular Weight   17.3 kDa, observed by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Purity   > 95% as analyzed by SDS-PAGE&HPLC.
Storage   Lyophilized recombinant Human UBE2B/HR6B remains stable up to 6 months at -80°C from date of receipt. Upon reconstitution, Human UBE2B/HR6B should be stable up to 1 week at 4°C or up to 3 months at -20°C.For long term storage it is recommended that a carrier protein (example 0.1% BSA) be added. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
