Description   Interleukin-17A (IL-17A or CTLA-8) induces stromal cells to produce proinflammatory cytokines. IL-17A enhances the surface expression of the intracellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in fibroblasts. Elevated levels of IL-17A have been associated with several conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, airway inflammation, allograft rejection, inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, cancer and multiple sclerosis. Human, mouse and rat IL-17A show activity on mouse cells. Recombinant Human IL-17A produced in E. coli is a homodimeric non-glycosylated disulfide-linked homodimer containing two 137 amino acid chains with a MW of 31,332 Da. The recombinant protein corresponds to full-length IL-17A and has cytokine production activity on mouse cells.
Molecular Weight   31332 Da
Purity   Purity > 98% as determined by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and analysis by RP-HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
