Description   Macrophage inflammatory protein 3 beta (MIP-3-beta or C-C motif chemokine 19) is a cytokine that plays a role in inflammatory and immunological responses as well as normal lymphocyte recirculation and homing. MIP-3-beta also is important in T-cell trafficking in the thymus, and T-cell and B-cell migration to secondary lymphoid organs. MIP-3-beta specifically binds to the chemokine receptor CCR7. Recombinant MIP-3-beta shows potent chemotactic activity for T-cells and B-cells but not for granulocytes and monocytes. Human MIP-3b produced in E. coli is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 77 amino acids with a MW of 8,809 Da.
