Description   PDGF (Platelet-derived growth factor) is a mitogenic peptide growth hormone carried in the alpha-granules of platelets. It is released when platelets adhere to traumatized tissues. Connective tissue cells near the traumatized region respond by initiating the process of replication. The synthesis of PDGF can be induced by Interleukin-1, Interleukin-6, TNF-alpha, TGF-beta and EGF. Recombinant Human PDGF-AB is a heterodimeric non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 234 amino acids consisting of 13.3kDa alpha-chain and 12.2 beta-chain with a total MW of 25.5 kDa.
Molecular Weight   25500 Da
Purity   Purity > 95% as determined by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard
Storage   Store at -20C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
