RANK ligand (RANKL) is a cytokine that binds to TNFRS11B/OPG and to TNFGS11A/RANK This cytokine also augments the ability of dendritic cells to stimulate na飗e T-cell proliferation, is an important regulator of interactions between T-cells and dendritic cells, and plays a role in the regulation of the T-cell-dependent immune response. RANKL is an osteoclast differentiation and activation factor and enhances bone resosrption in humoral hypercalcemia of malignancy. Recombinant human soluble RANKL produced in E. coli is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 176 amino acids with a MW of 20,006 Da.
