Description   Glial Cell Line-Derived Neurotrophic Factor, or GDNF, is a neurotrophic factor that is closely related to other neurotrophic factors such as Neurturin, Persephin, and Artemin, by a common structural feature called the cysteine-knot. GDNF signals through a multicomponent system of receptors that includes receptors known as RET, and GFRalpha 1-4 to promote dopamine uptake, survival and differentiation of neurons. Mouse GDNF is produced in E.coli. Recombinant mouse GDNF is a non-glycosylated homodimer, containing two 135 amino acid chains, with a total molecular weight of 30.2 kDa.
Molecular Weight   30200 Da
Purity   Purity > 95% as determined by RP-HPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and analysis by RP-HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
Storage   Store at -20C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
